The Provisional Electoral Council has learned with deep sadness that the former deputy Gérandale TELUSMA (1) passed away in a tragic accident Monday, December 20, 2010 early in the morning.
Combative, woman of conviction who combined well flexibility and firmness, President of the Commission for Social Affairs and Women's Rights in the Chamber of Deputies, the representative of Gros Morne has marked her passage in parliament. Candidate to succeed herself in the legislative elections of November 28, 2010, she arrived in second place and she was empowered to participate in the 2nd round.
While lamenting the huge loss for the country, the Provisional Electoral Council presents its condolences to her parents, friends, family, at the party MOCHRENHA, to her colleagues of the 48th Legislature and people of Gros Morne.

(1) Ms. Gérandale Telusma, who had been remarked during the passage of the law on minimum wages in the lower house, had been admitted to the second round of parliamentary elections, according to preliminary results of December 7. She died early Monday morning in a road accident at the entrance of Desdunes, to Carrefour ODVA, Artibonite, when her vehicle collided with a truck of public transport.
